GENERAL INFORMATION
- PlasticsJobsForum.com serves the needs of the Plastics, Rubber, Chemicals, Design Engineering and Moldmaking Industries and represents all Processes, all Job Disciplines and experience levels.
- Officially launched at the NPE-2000 (National Plastics Exposition); it was created and is managed by plastics professionals who know the industry from the inside out.
- Our Program Fees are designed to offer the maximum value and most comprehensive level of recruiting activity for the investment. We do not sacrifice quality; but only advertise in industry trade publications and on the internet - not TV or the SuperBowl!
- Payment by Credit card is required for instant activation. Our link is secure and credit card data is not saved for any purpose other than payment.
- There are now more than 12,000 Resumes in our database, representing candidates in almost all disciplines and position levels.
- Only active Resumes are displayed - posted or reactivated during the last 180-days.
- Free access to review the database is not available as the database is 'live'.
- New Resume
registrations occur 24/7. We neither track how many Resumes fit
a chosen set of parameters, nor guarantee at any specific time
or date that there will be Resumes that meet your specific parameters
- no recruiting website does.
- Unlike other recruiting sites, your job listing can be edited or even changed, at any time during your subscription period. Just logon, select Jobs Admin and revise as desired.
- Our keyword search and menus are designed for industry titles and terms, making the process simple and quick - no boolean strings to remember.
- We advertise only in the primary industry trade magazines with the broadest industry circulation.
- We subscribe to many resume services that broadcast Resumes; and to select mega-boards, to attract new candidates. This allows you to save thousands of dollars annually, because most of these same candidates can be found at PlasticsJobsForum.com.
- We enjoy favorable positions on major search engines like Google.
- We continue
to refine our services and website operation
and welcome
your suggestions and success stories.

| ANSWERS
TO OTHER COMMON QUESTIONS |
| |
Q
Do you require Jobseekers to post a Resume before they can search job listings? |
A
We did in the past, but no longer. A posted Resume is required to respond to a job opportunity. We remind Jobseekers that without a Resume, they may miss being discovered by Employers, because many new jobseekers to the internet do not realize that search is a two-way activity.
| |
Q
Why do specific
Resume searches sometimes yield low results?
A
Recruiting success is primarily good timing. Resumes are viewable for 180-days. If a Candidate forgets to renew their posting, it automatically goes Inactive (passive) and is no longer viewable. Resumes that are Confidential postings do not provide direct contact information, but can be reached by email through our portal.
| |
Q
Are there
many Passive candidates? How can we reach them?
A
PlasticsJobsForum
is a career site. Unlike the mega sites, Resumes always remain available
for future use and easy updating. Approximately 50% of our database
can be considered Passive. To reach this audience subscribe
to our Email the Resume Database, and we will email your Job listing to every member - regardless of status. It is also the most pro-active method and may also attract candidates in other job disciplines that may be of interest to you.

Q
I registered
several days ago, but had to stop before completing the Company
Profile. I tried to re-register and start again, but the site said
the User ID was already in use.
A
If you try to re-register, using the same User ID (your email address), the system will not allow creating a duplicate as it may breach security. The message indicates your original Registration was successful; and you only need to Logon and continue where you left off.
| |
Q
When first
creating my User ID and Password; I clicked on Submit and it goes
back to the Register page.
A
Check your browser
version, it may need to be updated. Also review your Privacy level
- open your browser, click on Tools, click on Internet Options,
click on the Privacy tab. Setting to medium is really all you need.
| |
Q
I have been
trying to complete my registration; but after filling in all the
required information and clicking on Submit, it keeps coming back
with a message that 'all information must be filled in to register'.
Any ideas on what might be wrong?
A
The world of
software is not always compatible. Here are several possible solutions
to explore: 1] Do you have the 'javascript option' activated? 2]
Do you have 'accept cookies' on? 3] You may need to update your
browser. 4] Check the browser Privacy setting (see the previous
Q/A).

Q
I registered,
but am not sure if my Company Profile was accepted. I tried to complete
the Profile again as it was somehow erased and it did not show when
I clicked on Preview.
A
You experienced a 'timing out'; which we have no control of, as it is on your end. There may have been a blip in your phone line (dial-up modems) or your cable connection that disconnected your logon session, even though the screen image remained. If you were disconnected, you cannot go backward. Go to our Home page and Logon again, click on Update Profile. Your material should display on the screen. If not, you may need to exit the browser and re-logon.
| |
Q
I attempted to register as I am seeking plastics engineers, but an associate had a question, and after my return, your site kept telling me that I can leave no blank spaces; but I entered all the required data.
A
Very similar
to a prior question. If you are inactive for a period of time (a
coffee break, a phone call, etc), for as little as 10-minutes, you
may have been 'timed out'. The screen image may still be there,
but you are required to re-logon. The message received is correct
as a timing out reads as a lack of an insertion. Again, we have
no control over time-outs.
| |
| Q |
I can not
open and access your website. |
| A |
Did you Register Your Company? If yes, check your browser version, it may need updating to the latest version. Check your security level - open your browser, click on Internet Options, click on the Privacy tab. Setting to medium is adequate.
| |
Q
I would like
to find out more about website confidentiality. Can I post a job
without identifying our company, because we do not want to be overwhelmed
with responses.
A
Yes - by selecting a 'confidential' posting. Our software will blank out your name and contact information - but you must not include your name and contact information in the Job Description box, as that is displayed as entered. Regardless, Jobseekers only see a Submit link, not an email address. You can choose to not respond.
| |
Q
I forgot
my Password, can you help?
A
Retrieving your Password is very, very simple. Click on the Company logon link on the Home page, then click on the 'Forget Your Password?' link and follow the steps from there. The Password, for security reasons, will be sent only to the email address of record on your Company Profile.
| |
Q
I tried
to Logon and was denied access.
A
You may have
used the wrong User ID or Password or mis-typed its entry. If you
forget either, the Logon page allows you to retrieve either or both.
You will need to remember the supplemental key word. For your security
protection, the User ID and/or Password will only be sent to the
email address of record on your Company Profile. Also check your
Privacy settings (see above).
| |
Q
I changed
my internet provider and have a new email address, but my User ID
is my old address. How do I change it?
A
On our Home
page, click on the Company tab . When the Logon page appears,
follow the directions to change your User ID and/or Password.
| |
Q
I have completed
and submitted our Registration information. Now when I go to Logon,
I can not get in.
A
This may have
been a timing-out during the original posting of your information,
or you simply mis-typed the wrong User ID and/or Password. (In this
case, it was the latter, as all the data was in the system).
| |
Q
If we email
you all the information, can you Register our company?
A
As with any
recruiting website, registration and data entry is a self-managed
activity. For your security we do not provide that service, but
will work with you to identify your problem (it was both a timing-out
and an old browser version in this instance).
| |
Q
Can
we Register and complete our Company Profile before subscribing to
any programs? |
A
Absolutely… there
is no fee for Registration. You can then Logon at your convenience,
click on Select Programs and go from there. |
| |
| Q |
I recently
registered and completed the Profile. Now, when I logon and try to
do a Resume search, I am denied access. |
| A |
All Programs require pre-payment. Logon, click on Select Programs and complete your subscription. You can pay online with a credit card. Upon submission, your selections will be instantly activated. |
| |
| Q |
I have looked
through the website for indications on how to cancel my account, but
I must be missing something. I need to cancel and delete all information. |
| A |
Logon and follow
instructions. We will also perform this function if the request is
received in writing on company letterhead. We will then email you
using the address of record, for confirmation, before executing your
request. |
| |
| Q |
Can I refer the website to an associate at another business unit in our organization? |
| A |
Of course! We
appreciate all referrals, as it spreads the word and builds 'brand'
recognition. And we make it simple for you too. Just click on 'forward
to a friend' on the Home page, enter the information and we will take care of the rest.
Thank you for thinking of us! |
